Artistic Adventures

Hello, friends!

Today I’m posting about a new little artistic adventure I underwent. I saw this lovely painting of an abstract acrylic canvas on pinterest and instead of shelling out $500 I don’t have; I thought I would give it a go myself! I mean… How hard can abstract be? Well, for what I was attempting, I’m pretty pleased with the end results.

I used only one type of fushia acrylic paint, and diluted it with water and a white mix-in in order to get varying shades of pink. Then I used a light, bright gold acrylic with a fan brush across the canvas. It took about 30 minutes, and now I have a lovely pop of color for my wall!

You’ll also get a sneak peak of my little shabby chic bar! In the future I plan to do a full apartment tour, but since we’re still pretty newly moved-in, it’s still not quite fully decorated to my high standards. 😉 I hope you enjoy the series of pictures!
